Hilton Liverpool / Buried poetry

Hilton Liverpool
Poem, transaction

Poem buried three metres down underneath the entrance to the Hilton Liverpool describing a storm. An invisible commemorative plaque, overlooking the dock where my boat came loose at night in a force seven gale.

The poem was buried by road diggers in an ongoing series of transactions in which I ask strangers for help, opening the process up to chance and change.

The piece records both the stereotypical heroism that I was brought up with, that of outdoor endeavour and pitting oneself against the elements, and a small act, of negotiating poetry with workmen.
